What is finagentic.ai?
It's a web app for learning and doing financial modeling and valuation on real US-company data. You can start as a complete beginner β every term is explained in plain English β and grow into building institutional-grade three-statement models, DCFs, and industry-specific valuations. Think of it as a research desk and a patient teacher in the same tab.
Do I need to know finance already?
No. finagentic is designed so that someone who has never read a financial statement β a 13-year-old or an 85-year-old β can follow along. Three things make that possible:
- Plain-English Lens β tap any term (P/E, DCF, EBITDA, goodwillβ¦) anywhere in the app for a beginner explanation, a pro definition, and a real-world analogy.
- Journey Mode β a guided 4-chapter story that walks you through a company from "who are they?" to "is it worth it?"
- A 42-step AI tutor β builds a real model with you, one plain step at a time.
Already fluent? Skip straight to the workbench and go from a 10-K to a defensible price target.
Is this investment advice?
No. finagentic is for research and educational purposes only. It is not investment advice, not a recommendation, and not an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security. The valuations are model outputs to learn from and stress-test β not price targets to act on. Always do your own due diligence and, where appropriate, consult a licensed financial professional.
Where does the data come from?
From primary, third-party sources β never made up:
- SEC EDGAR β official company filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, Form 4, 13F, S-1, and more).
- Financial Modeling Prep (FMP) β fundamentals, prices, analyst estimates, and peer data.
The data is believed reliable but is not guaranteed. Figures can be delayed, restated, or revised at the source. For foreign companies that report in another currency, the app labels the currency honestly rather than silently assuming US dollars.
How accurate are the valuations?
A valuation is an informed estimate, not a fact β so finagentic is built to be honest about uncertainty rather than to project false precision:
- Every company is triangulated across multiple methods (an industry-appropriate multiple plus a DCF), not reduced to one number.
- You get a lowβhigh range and a confidence signal, so you can see how firm or shaky the estimate is.
- When a method doesn't fit (e.g. an unprofitable company, or a cash-burner), the app says so and switches to an honest alternative instead of forcing a misleading result.
Which companies are covered?
Around 2,000 of the largest US-listed companies (the top names across NASDAQ and NYSE by market value), each routed to the right industry valuation engine automatically. Beyond fundamentals, you also get direct access to those companies' SEC EDGAR filings. Some non-US companies are reachable through their US-listed shares (ADRs), with currency handled honestly.
Which languages are supported?
Eight: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Hindi, French, German, and Arabic (with full right-to-left support). The translation goes beyond the buttons β the finance concepts themselves, the glossary, the Plain-English Lens, and Journey Mode all speak your language. Standard acronyms (DCF, P/E, EBITDA, ROEβ¦) are kept in their universal form, the way professionals use them everywhere.
How do I get access?
finagentic is in private beta, onboarding people one at a time. Request access by email and tell us a little about who you are and what you'd use it for, and we'll send an invite.
What does it cost?
It's free during the private beta. We'll share pricing details before introducing any paid plan β beta users will get plenty of notice, and there are no charges today.
What about my privacy?
We collect only what's needed to run the app and your account. We don't sell your data. See the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for the full details.
What devices and browsers does it work on?
Any modern browser β Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox β on desktop, tablet, or phone. There's a dedicated mobile reading mode so models and valuations stay legible on a small screen. No install required.
How do I get help?
Inside the app, the built-in User Guide and AI tutor walk you through every feature. For anything else β a bug, a question, or feedback β email dipak@finagentic.ai and we'll get back to you.
